Persuadable voters in East Baton Rouge need to know that Steve Carter has said he would take tax dollars from BREC, the libraries and Meals on Wheels and put these dollars in the general fund where politicians like him could use it as a personal slush fund. These aren’t just tax dollars, Carter would take away a park from a child, a book from a student and a meal from a senior.
